Seeking Executive Director

The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services will be replacing our Executive Director upon his retirement.
Therefore your Association will be seeking expressions of interest up to February 10, 2012 from interested members who wish to apply to fill the position of Executive Director.
This position has a work load that varies throughout the year depending on Association activity and conference planning. The current position will pay a stipend and travel expenses set forth by the executive board to commensurate with the work required and performed.
This is a part time position that affords the candidate a flexible work schedule with certain deadlines to be met. Duties starting in Spring 2012.
Duties include:
To conduct the business and administration of the association on behalf of the executive board and supervise the administrative officer.
To keep the President and executive board apprised of all business of the Association as it arises.
To liaison with the membership, interest groups, government, sustaining members, and all others who have business with the Association.
To attend and record all proceedings of all executive board meetings and conferences.
To plan and organize the annual conference and liaise with all conference participants.
