August 9th, 2010 Volunteer Aprreciation campaign launched by Minister Denine
A new campaign has been launched by the Minister responsible for the Volunteer and Non Profit Secretariat. "Who Cares" is a promotional campaign aimed at recognizing the many volunteers within our Newfoundland and Labrador Communities.
August 9th, 2010 2010-11- Fire Apparatus Funding announced
Eleven communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador will benefit from a Provincial Government investment of approximately $2.5 million for new firefighting vehicles
July 29th, 2010 Fall Fire School Dates Announced
From FES: The Fall Fire and Emergency Services Training School will be offered on the Avalon from October 23rd to the 31st. More information will be forthcoming on course and locations. We will update you as courses and schedules are put in place.

March 29th, 2010 Budget is Positive for Fire Service
The NL Provincial budget is positive for the fire service of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services is generally pleased with the provinces 2010 budget. Increases amounting to 1.3 in fire service funding was announced.
