Good Job

Postby Alex Coady » Mon Mar 12, 2012 12:34 pm

Hats off to Garnish Volunteer Fire Department who fought a diffucult fire on saturday afternoon with a small crew of firefighters. Sometimes when a call comes in to a volunteer fire department the number of firefighters available to respond may be few. Garnish Fire Department did a great job with the small number of firefighters they had available to them. Keep up the good work that you do for your community, they should be proud to have your services.

I agree. Even when short handed fire fighters will do their best to protect their residents and community. Great Job!!

I would like to also pass on a "Pat on the Back" to the members of the Garnish Fire Dept for a job well done. From what I hear, the firefighters who responded did a great job by preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring property.

I also think the Marystown Fire Dept deserves a "Pat on the Back" for their efforts this morning at the Kiewitt Offshore Fabrication Facility in Marystown! A fire broke out in a trailer unit atop the 100 foot "Stair Tower" at the fabrication site and proved to be a bit of a task to extinguish simply because of the height of the fire. The stair tower was used during the fabrication and commissioning of the "Sea Rose" project and was being retrofitted for an upcoming project. Hats off to Chief Coady and the members of the Marystown Fire Dept for a job well done!
